Thunder Road officials have announced the full schedule of events for the 56th Vermont Milk Bowl Weekend presented by Northfield Savings Bank. The 3-day event from Friday, September 28 through Sunday, September 30 is expected to be one of the biggest in Milk Bowl history, with eight divisions featuring the best local and touring racers in the Northeast.

Hometown racer Jason Corliss proved once again that he’s the man to beat in big Thunder Road events by taking the Coca-Cola Labor Day Classic for the American-Canadian Tour (ACT) on Sunday, September 2. Corliss grabbed the lead from polesitter Cody Blake just before the halfway point and never looked back on his way to a $5,000 payday in the Summer Showdown Series finale.

Thunder Road celebrates one of the biggest weekends in motorsports this Sunday, September 2 with the 40th Coca-Cola Labor Day Classic. The American-Canadian Tour (ACT) will be on hand as part of a holiday weekend program that is expected to draw more than 120 cars to the Barre high banks.

Milton’s Scott Dragon was crowned the “King of the Road” for the second time in his career on Thursday, August 23 at Jet Service Envelope/Accura Printing Night. Dragon sliced through the field in the Maplewood/Irving Oil Late Model feature to cross the finish line second behind Barre’s Cody Blake, earning him the 2018 track championship.

The fight for the “King of the Road” title has come down to the final Thursday night event of the season — and it may come down to the final lap as well.

Thunder Road’s 2018 Maplewood/Irving Oil Late Model champion will be crowned Thursday, August 23 on Jet Service Envelope/Accura Printing Night. Scott Dragon, Jason Corliss, and Trampas Demers sit just 10 points apart in what has been one of the most compelling championship battles during the track’s 59-year history. Each will be going all-out to take home the title for themselves and for their team.

Northfield’s Evan Hallstrom added his name to the list of Maplewood/Irving Oil Late Model winners at Thunder Road at Premium Mortgage Night on Thursday, August 16. The 16-year-old withstood everything the field had to offer for his first victory on the high banks while Milton’s Scott Dragon gained the upper hand in the “King of the Road” chase.

Barre’s Thunder Road takes another giant step in the 2018 “King of the Road” chase this Thursday, August 16 at Premium Mortgage Night. Just two rounds remain in the fight for the Maplewood/Irving Oil Late Model title, and the multi-way battle could go in any direction over the coming two weeks.
