Thunder Road management has unveiled its plans for a series of facility projects that have recently been undertaken at the historic quarter-mile oval. The projects are part of the goal set by track owners Cris Michaud and Pat Malone to make Thunder Road a showplace for racing and entertainment in the Northeastern United States.

Thunder Road’s longest-running four-cylinder division is back to bring the thrills in 2019. The Allen Lumber Street Stocks begin their championship season on Sunday, May 5 at the 21st Community Bank N.A. 150 and will once again feature a dynamic mix of longtime veterans of the sport and youngsters starting their climb up the racing ladder.

The Lenny’s Shoe & Apparel Flying Tigers are ready to open their 2019 championship battle at Barre’s Thunder Road on Sunday, April 28 at 1:30pm as part of the Community Bank N.A. 150. Early indications are that it could be one of the largest, most wide-open battles in years with numerous drivers capable of earning the crown.

The start of the 60th season of racing at Barre’s Thunder Road will have to wait one more week. Track management has officially postponed the season-opening Community Bank N.A. 150 to Sunday, May 5 at 1:30pm.

After a big rookie season in the Lenny’s Shoe & Apparel Flying Tigers, Waterbury Ctr.’s Kelsea Woodard is already raring to go for 2019. The second-generation racer has filed the first official entry for the 2019 Myers Container Service Triple Crown Series and leads a growing list of drivers who have committed to the trio of 75-lap events.

The month of April has arrived, and with it the promise of another year of racing atop Quarry Hill. Barre’s Thunder Road is less than four weeks away from its 60th season of competition, making it an important anniversary for race teams and fans at the “Nation’s Site of Excitement”.

Hudson, NH’s Joey Polewarczyk Jr. scored one of the biggest wins of his already illustrious American-Canadian Tour (ACT) career by taking the inaugural Commonwealth Classic 65 at Virginia’s Richmond Raceway on Saturday, March 30. “Joey Pole” took the lead for good on lap 42 and survived a pair of bids from Dover, NH’s Wayne Helliwell Jr. en route to the victory.
