Christopher Pelkey is not only the youngest of Thunder Road’s 2022 champions, but he also joined an elite group that have claimed both the King of the Road track title and the win in the Toughest Short Track Stock Car Race in North America in the same season.

The Vermont Milk Bowl presented by Northfield Savings Bank will once again feature a spectacular $103,100 purse after an ultra-successful 60th edition of ‘The Toughest Short Track Stock Car Race in North America’ last October. The Vermont Milk Bowl presented by Northfield Savings Bank is set to run for the 61st time on Sunday, October 1st following the always exciting Booth Bros./Hood Qualifying Day on Saturday, September 30th.

All-New, Big Money ‘Super Saturday’ on August 12th plus Street Stock Triple Crown! 

Barre, VT — After weeks of planning, Thunder Road officials have released some exciting schedule changes to the 2023 calendar. With the huge announcement of the nationally renowned SRX Series debuting at Thunder Road on Thursday, July 20th and with the need for Friday, July 21st as a possible rain-date, shifting the schedule became paramount. Along with moving the second round of the Myers Flying Tiger Triple Crown Series to June 29th, the Times Argus Midseason Championships will now be contested on July 6th with an all new Super Saturday on Saturday, August 12th featuring big-money purses for all four Thunder Road divisions and the championship round to an all-new Street Stock Triple Crown in the month of August!
