Barre, VT — After three seasons of an outlaw schedule of sorts that saw his team make sparse appearances at the Nation’s Site of Excitement, Barre’s Cody Blake has announced a return to weekly racing at Thunder Road International Speedbowl for 2023. In his announcement, Blake made a point to confirm his intentions to run for the King of the Road title and dethrone 2022 champion Christopher Pelkey.

Barre, VT — In preparation for the upcoming season, Officials are excited to announce that the Thunder Road and American-Canadian Tour organizations have been asked to join the Yankee Sportsman Classic at the Champlain Valley Expo this weekend, Friday January 20th through Sunday January 22nd. Along with the booth ready to showcase the 2023 season for the only asphalt short track in the State of Vermont and one of the oldest international stock car series in North America, two teams have brought their machines in to show-off for the crowds of over 10,000 that will visit Vermont’s largest outdoorsman exhibition. 

Barre, VT — Officials have announced pricing for the Superstar Racing Experience (SRX) Event at the iconic Thunder Road International Speedbowl on Thursday, July 20th. General Admission tickets will be available at $45 for Adults with Children, ages 12-and-under set at $20.

2 – Woburn, Massachusetts’ Anthony Nocella took back-to-back 2nd-place finishes in two debuts of touring divisions at Thunder Road this season. First in the Monaco Modified Tri-Track Series Granite City 100 in May and then in the New England Supermodified Series 75 in June.

Barre, VT — Officials are proud to announce the Superstar Racing Experience (SRX) is coming to the iconic Thunder Road International Speedbowl on Thursday, July 20th. The SRX Series will pit the best of multiple racing disciplines against one another in identical cars on six short tracks across the country live on ESPN’s reestablished Thursday Night Thunder. Thunder Road has earned the second spot in that six-race line-up and July 20th will also feature the exciting All-Star Late Model Showdown, a full field of Late Model heroes from past and present duking it out for the glory of being the Greatest of All Time.  

With the SRX Series and Star-Studded Late Model Showdown taking over the Thursday, July 20th date, Times-Argus Midseason Championships have been moved to Friday, July 21st. An exciting Double Header week on the Barre highbanks that you won’t want to miss!

Between having the highest average car count at the highbanked quarter-mile in 2022, the Street Stocks enjoyed some of the most competitive racing of the season and battled hard with their new contingency sponsors in mind all the way to September’s Championship night.
