Barre, VT — The Central Vermont area has been steadily rebuilding since devastating flooding in July of 2023 wreaked havoc across the region. While work continues, many homes have been repaired, many businesses reopened and now another light at the end of the tunnel approaches. The Superstar Racing Experience (SRX) Series is ready to make it’s Thunder Road debut on Thursday, July 18 to not only bring some of the world’s greatest racers to Barre, Vermont, but also to celebrate the strength and resilience of the people of Vermont.

Barre, VT — Kenley Dean Squier, founder of Barre, Vermont’s Thunder Road, co-founder of the Motor Racing Network (MRN), NASCAR Hall of Famer and the voice of sports events across Vermont, New England and beyond passed away on Wednesday, November 15 at the age of 88.

Joined by the top stars of the American-Canadian Tour, the hard-nosed drivers in weekly competition at Thunder Road were honored for their efforts throughout the season alongside a list of special award winners on Saturday.

All of the top teams, including 2023 American-Canadian Tour champion D.J. Shaw, Maplewood/Irving Oil Late Model King of the Road Stephen Donahue, Lenny’s Shoe & Apparel Flying Tiger champion Kyle Streeter and rk Miles Street Stock champion James Dopp, will meet at the Barre Elks Club for the end-of-season celebration of their 2023 achievements plus a full contingent of annual special awards and random-draw prizes!

Barre, VT — Milton’s Trevor Jaques has been awarded the 2023 rk Miles Street Stock Mini Milk Bowl after post-race inspections revealed violations in the engine of Josh Lovely’s Ford Mustang. The apparent winner’s motor was pulled in the tech area following Sunday’s victory lane and taken for further investigation that revealed several issues with the engine’s heads and gaskets over tolerance for the four-cylinder division.

Barre, VT — The 61st Vermont Milk Bowl presented by Northfield Savings Bank once again proved itself to be the Toughest Short Track Race in North America on Sunday, and not just for the American-Canadian Tour and Maplewood/Irving Late Models. The Lenny’s Shoe & Apparel Flying Tigers, rk Miles Street Stocks and Burnett Scrap Metals Road Warriors joined their headlining brethren in providing some of the hardest racing of the season with everyone looking to make their mark on an iconic Northeast tradition.

Barre, VT — Booth Bros./Hood Vermont Milk Bowl Qualifying Day on Saturday at Thunder Road was a spectacular display of short track racing in preparation for Sunday’s Vermont Milk Bowl. The Toughest Short Track Race in North America isn’t just tough on Sunday, Saturday’s Booth Bros./Hood Qualifying Day is no small feat with time trials and triple-50 heat races determining the start of the feature field with tomorrow’s B-Feature setting the final four spots for the 61st Vermont Milk Bowl. Throw in the start of Mini Milk Bowl action, PASS Super Late Models and the New England Supermodified Series, Booth Bros./Hood Qualifying Day set the exciting pace for Milk Bowl weekend.
