ACT, PASS & Speed51 to Present Northeast eClassic Event

Drivers and race fans in the New England region will have something to look forward to on Saturday, April 18.  Following the postponement of the real-world Northeast Classic at New Hampshire Motor Speedway, the American-Canadian Tour (ACT), Pro All Stars Series (PASS) and Speed51 have teamed up for the inaugural Northeast eClassic sim racing event.

The inaugural Northeast eClassic will feature Late Model racers from ACT, PASS, Oxford Plains Speedway, Thunder Road International Speedbowl and White Mountain Motorsports Park.  A live broadcast of the race will be available for free on Speed51.

“All of us wish we could be at New Hampshire Motor Speedway on April 17-18, but we’re happy to team up with PASS and Speed51 to offer a virtual version of the Northeast Classic during this tough time,” said Cris Michaud, Co-Owner of ACT, Thunder Road and White Mountain.  “This will be a great way to showcase our racers and give fans something to look forward to while we all eagerly await the start of the racing season."

The Northeast eClassic will be a 75-lap Super Late Model race at the virtual New Hampshire Motor Speedway, using the popular iRacing simulation service.  To ensure a level playing field, a fixed setup will be used by all drivers during the event.

To compete in the event, drivers must have competed in at least one race on the American-Canadian Tour or Pro All Stars Series, or one race at Oxford Plains Speedway, Thunder Road International Speedbowl or White Mountain Motorsports Park.

Entry into the event is free for eligible drivers. Drivers who would like to compete in the event are required to fill out a registration form.

Speed51’s live broadcast of the event on Saturday, April 18 will begin at 3 p.m. ET for qualifying and heat races.  That will lead into the 75-lap main event at the virtual “Magic Mile.”

Drivers will be able to participate in a one-hour practice session prior to the event.  Additional practice sessions will be announced in the coming days.

The Northeast eClassic will be a four-tire event, with no tire changes allowed.  Caution laps will count towards the 75-lap race distance, with three attempts at a green-white-checkered finish to end the race.

ACT and Thunder Road announcer Aaron Maynard will join the live broadcast to call the exciting racing action.

More details and information about the inaugural Northeast eClassic on Speed51 will be announced soon.
