Jet Service Envelope/Accura Printing Rings in Final Thursday Night Showdown at Thunder Road

Barre, VT — Where has the time gone? This Thursday, August 29, Jet Service Envelope and Accura Printing present the final Thursday night event at Thunder Road for the 2024 season headlined by four divisions of the region’s best stock car racing PLUS the annual Run-What-U-Brung spectator drags!

The fan-favorite Run-What-U-Brung is the final chance for all the back-seat, BarcaLounger drivers to put up or shut up on the Barre highbanks with their trusty daily rides! Run-What-U-Brung has a simple set of rules, namely the vehicles must be currently inspected, registered and insured and drivers must have a helmet and long sleeve shirts and pants. The one-on-one elimination events will whittle down the field to a final run between two hopefuls for all the glory, and bragging rights, of being the Thunder Road Run-What-U-Brung champion!

Hot-shoes Kaiden Fisher and Brandon Gray continue to dominate the standings in the Maplefield/Irving Late Models and Lenny’s Shoe & Apparel Flying Tigers, respectively. While Gray nearly has the championship sewn up as the Thunder Road faithful begin to hit the home stretch to September 13’s Championship Night, Fisher still has plenty of heat on his tail. The tied combination of two-time track champion Scott Dragon and young up-and-comer Brandon Lanphear tied for second overall could both nab the brass ring and get a good run on the S.D. Ireland Concrete entry on Jet Service Envelope/Accura Printing Night at The Road.

The top five in rk Miles Street Stock points sit within the weekly winner’s point total of 75 as Waterford’s Dean Switser Jr. continues to dig hard for his second career championship in the competitive four-cylinder class. Morrisville’s Zach Audet and Milton’s Trevor Jaques are tied for second overall following heartbreak mechanical trouble for Jaques last time out. Last year’s top rookie is gunning for Most Improved Driver with Moretown’s Ryan Foster fourth on the marks and Graniteville’s Tyler Whittemore keeping his #74 in the running at fifth on the current tally.

Marshfield’s Cayden Green became the sixth first-time Burnett Scrap Metals Road Warrior winner in 2024 last Thursday in the popular entry division. With the season coming to a close, the desperation is running high as the rough and tumble stars of the Road Warriors prepare to plant their foot on the gas pedal and hang on tight for a chance at Thunder Road glory before winter sets in!
