Vermont Agency of Transportation Ready for Big Summer at Thunder Road
/AOT Set to Headline Tiger $2k Special on September 11 & Street Stock Triple Crown!
Barre, VT – Thunder Road Officials announced today an expansive partnership with the Vermont Agency of Transportation for the 2025 season at the Nation’s Site of Excitement. The Agency of Transportation has thrown support behind the Tiger $2k Special on Thursday, September 11 as well as the Street Stock Triple Crown, a three-in-a-row series for the four-cylinder masters on July 31, August 3 and August 7.
The Vermont Agency of Transportation (AOT) plans, develops, implements and manages a statewide transportation network - including roads, bridges, railroads, airports, park-and-rides, bicycle and pedestrian facilities, and public transportation facilities and services.

The AOT Tiger $2k is Thunder Road’s newest tradition beginning in 2025! The 100-lap showdown for the Lenny’s Shoe & Apparel Flying Tigers on Thursday, September 11 will award $2,000 to the winner with an increased purse on the line.
The AOT Street Stock Triple Crown also returns for it’s third annual battle of the rk Miles Street Stocks in three distinct events on the 2025 calendar starting on WDEV / Calkins Portable Toilets Night on July 31. The VTrans Triple Crown continues with a quick turn-around for the Bolduc Metal Recycling 50-lap Special on Enduro Sunday, August 3 and wrapping up on Five Star Roofing Night, Thursday, August 7.

The season kicks off the following day, May 4, with the 27th annual Community Bank, n.a. 150 for the American-Canadian Tour and the start of track championship racing for the Lenny’s Shoe & Apparel Flying Tigers, rk Miles Street Stocks and the non-point Burnett Scrap Metals Road Warriors!
