Noyle Johnson Group presents Street Stock Hard Charger Award at Thunder Road

Barre, VT – Thunder Road officials announced on Thursday an increased partnership with Noyle Johnson Insurance of Montpelier, Danville and Bethel. Noyle Johnson Insurance Group has been a longtime member of the Thunder Road family from a lap sponsor in the Vermont Milk Bowl to a billboard owner and now the local insurance experts are adding another role! In 2025, the rk Miles Street Stocks will dig deep for the Noyle Johnson Hard Charger award in all twenty heart-pounding showdowns this year.

Noyle Johnson Insurance is proud to have built their sparkling reputation one customer at a time over the last seventy-four years. While they can trace their storied history well into the 1800s, Noyle Johnson Insurance got its start in 1951 with just two employees in the original Plainfield office that has grown to over fifty with three offices in Montpelier, Danville and Bethel. The independent Noyle Johnson Group took their next big step in 2022, joining the national Alera Group to bring Vermonters the best insurance insights, connections and collaborators from across the country.

The rk Miles Street Stocks are known throughout New England as one of the toughest and most competitive weekly track championship divisions around. In a field that averages thirty cars each week, the Street Stocks make for an entertaining 25-lap feature every week along with their annual 50-lap special during the Bolduc Metal Recycling Enduro, their Vermont Agency of Transportation Triple Crown and the Northfield Savings Bank Mini Milk Bowl at season’s end! The Noyle Johnson Hard Charger Award is a $50 cash bonus given to the driver who most improves their starting position by the time they drive under the checkered flag in each Street Stock event this year.

“We’re glad to have local companies like Noyle Johnson Group who support our local heros every Thursday night,” said Thunder Road marketing director Marvin Galarneau. “The drivers have really appreciated the Hard Charger award in the past and they’re excited to continue chasing this added bonus in 2025.”

The season kicks off with the annual Car Show and Practice Day at Thunder Road on Saturday, May 3. The following day, May 4, brings the 27th annual Community Bank, n.a. 150 for the Milton CAT American-Canadian Tour and the start of track championship racing for the Lenny’s Shoe & Apparel Flying Tigers, rk Miles Street Stocks and the non-point Burnett Scrap Metals Road Warriors!
