Deadlines Approaching for NHMS Garage Stalls, Early NELMCC Entry

Two important registration dates for American-Canadian Tour (ACT) competitors are fast approaching. The first two days of March are also the initial deadlines to reserve garage space at the Northeast Classic and enter the New England Late Model Challenge Cup (NELMCC) presented by American Racer.

ACT team requests for garage stalls at the inaugural Northeast Classic must be postmarked by Sunday, March 1.  Spaces are already filling up fast for the event at Loudon, NH’s New Hampshire Motor Speedway (NHMS) this April.  Reservation requests are open to ACT and Pro All Star Series (PASS) teams until the March 1 date. The rental fee is $100 per garage stall with two teams per stall.

After the March 1 deadline, NHMS garage space requests will be opened to all other divisions competing at the Northeast Classic. This includes the Tour-type Modifieds, 8-cylinder Street Stocks, and Mini Stocks. The reservation form is available at https://www.acttour.com/new-england-late-model-classic

Meanwhile, Monday, March 2 is the early-entry deadline for the inaugural NELMCC presented by American Racer. All drivers who file their entries by this date will be entered into a bonus drawing. Two registered names will be chosen to receive two free American Racer tires.

This bonus comes on top of the announced awards for the weekly racing program. Five tracks from four states have joined the Challenge Cup. A driver’s 10 best finishes in regular weekly events across all participating tracks count towards their point total with $3,000 guaranteed for the season-long champion. The total point fund already exceeds $10,000, and the $100 entry fee from each driver will also be added to the point fund.

Registration forms are available on participating track websites. This includes Vermont’s Thunder Road Speedbowl, New Hampshire’s White Mountain Motorsports Park and Star Speedway, Massachusetts’ Seekonk Speedway, and Connecticut’s Thompson Speedway.

“The Northeast Classic and Challenge Cup are shaping up to be two of the biggest things this year for Late Model racers in the region,” ACT managing partner Cris Michaud said. “By registering early for each, drivers maximize their potential rewards and make sure they get the most out of their experience. We’ll continue to make more announcements as we get closer to the start of the season.”

The American-Canadian Tour kicks off its season as part of the Northeast Classic at Loudon, NH’s New Hampshire Motor Speedway on Friday, April 17 and Saturday, April 18. The ACT Late Model Tour go 60 laps while the PASS North Super Late Models open their point-counting season with a 50-lap event. Open events are also scheduled for the Tour-type Modifieds, 8-cylinder Street Stocks, and Mini Stocks.
