Thunder Road Announces Newest Schedule Changes Following Further Rain Delays
/Barre, VT — After what has been called ‘The Wettest Summer on Record’ by meteorologists at the Mount Washington Observatory, Thunder Road has not been immune and officials are certainly in agreement of that moniker. After rains moved in following qualifying for the rk Miles Street Stocks and Maplewood/Irving Oil Late Models last night, a new batch of schedule changes have been released by Thunder Road officials today.
Beginning on Friday, September 1st will be the rest of the Jet Service Envelope/Accura Printing Night scheduled events beginning at 7:00pm picking up right where we all left off with qualifying for the Lenny’s Shoe & Apparel Flying Tigers and Burnett Scrap Metals Road Warriors. Following qualifying rounds will be the four feature events and the World Famous Run-What-U-Brung spectator drags to kick-off a big Labor Day weekend of racing. Rain Checks from August 24th will be honored on Friday, September 1st.
Speaking of a big Labor Day weekend of racing, Sunday, September 3rd brings the 45th Labor Day Classic 200 presented by New England Federal Credit Union for the American-Canadian Tour. Starting at 1:00pm on Sunday, the Labor Day Classic showcase will also include Flying Tigers, Street Stocks and Road Warriors along with the Mighty Mini Stock Tour.
With the Jet Service Envelope/Accura Printing Night move to Friday, September 1st, the McGee Hyundai of Barre ‘Super Friday,’ big money showdown for all four Thunder Road divisions will now be held on Friday, September 8 moving the Lenny’s Shoe & Apparel Championship Night to Friday, September 15th.
Thunder Road returns to action for a double-shot of Vermont’s best short track racing on Labor Day weekend starting with the weather-delayed Jet Service Envelope/Accura Printing Night, including the Run-What-U-Brung showdown on Friday, September 1st before coming back to life on Sunday, September 3rd for the 45th Labor Day Classic 200 presented by New England Federal Credit Union for the American-Canadian Tour. D.J. Shaw narrowly took down his first ACT Thunder Road win to etch his name in the Granite Monument, who will be next?
