The Burnett Scrap Metals Road Warriors headline Community College of Vermont night with their annual 50-lap challenge. The test of man and their shade-tree machines on Sunday will pit the best of the best in a battle for the ultimate honors in the fan-favorite division. Brookfield’s Tyler Wheatley became the tenth different winner in the Road Warriors last night and looks to join Nate ‘Tater’ Brien as a multi-time 2024 winner with the Challenge victory on Sunday. Look for a full crop of both new and returning drivers, all looking to tame the highbanks in extra-distance action on Sunday!

The rk Miles Street Stocks also return in full force on Sunday as New England’s most competitive four-cylinder division wraps up their second annual Triple Crown. Currently, Graniteville’s Paige Whittemore leads the Triple Crown standings and looks to hang on as the first Queen of the Triple Crown over Kasey Collins, Zach Audet and track championship point leaders Dean Switser, Jr. and Trevor Jaques. Both Switser and Audet remain winless at The Road this season and look to change that statistic on Community College of Vermont Night to further solidify their run at the track championship.

Following double feature action on Thursday, Brandon Gray continues a strong lead in the Lenny’s Shoe & Apparel Flying Tiger standings. While Gray will have to run as conservatively as he did last night, the rest of the field in ‘North America’s #1 Support Division’ are sure to be digging hard lap after lap to make up the gap in these next few weeks as the season descends into September’s Lenny’s Shoe & Apparel Championship Night.

Similarly, young hot-shoe Kaiden Fisher continues to lead the King of the Road battle in the Maplefield/Irving Late Models over Scott Dragon and Chris Pelkey. Fisher charged up the field from an eighteenth-place starting position to finish second after powering around Scott Coburn and Chip Grenier in the final circuits of Thursday’s 50-lapper. Both Pelkey and Dragon followed Fisher throughout the event, bumper-to-bumper, proving that while yesterday’s battle is over, the war is far from finished!
